Christopher Richardson graduated from the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado in 1999 after attaining his Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology/ physical education. He is an assistant instructor for Advanced Trainings, an International Rolfing-based Continuing Education organization. Chris has recently completed studies in biodynamic osteopathy and various advanced Rolfing continuing ed. classes.

 

Prior to moving to the east coast, Chris lived in Colorado, working as a carpenter, building large-scale homes, as a youth fitness director for the YMCA, owner of a coffee shop and eight years of teaching adaptive skiing to disabled, paralyzed, and autistic students at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center. In addition he works internationally as a logistician for Doctors Without Borders.

 

A passion for surfing, racing mountain bikes, rock climbing and skiing eventually led to chronic low back and shoulder pain, which inhibited him from his passions. His lifestyle combined with an intuitive interest in human science, nutrition and alternative medicine, drove him to pursue holistic health care philosophies, which eventually led him to the successful and lasting results of Rolfing Structural Integration.
